I was completely unaware that my small sub gets shown on the front page.
When I first started posting on Reddit 5 years ago, I couldn’t get a dog to even piss on my sub, unless I lured it in by cross posting to more populated subs. So Lemmy in 2025 works different than Reddit in 2020, I guess. ☺
With those none-following viewers in mind, I will rethink my NFSW-tag usage.
A major difference between reddit and lemmy is that on reddit people tend to only see what they are subscribed to, and on lemmy people tend to see everything their instance federates with. The reason for this is because the post quantity is orders of magnitude higher on reddit. If lemmy ever gets to that level, people will likely limit their feed to subscribed only.
