Yes I have and I think they’re fair. $14/mo for Youtube + Youtube Music vs $11/mo for Spotify.

Well what if I’m just not inteterested in YouTube music (just because I don’t listed to a lot of music)?

It does make the deal a lot worse.

Does YouTube not deserve to charge for the goods and services they provide?

There are alot of services I choose to not pay and thus I don’t consume their services.

It’s all good to decide it’s not worth it and not pay, but that doesn’t automatically give people the rights to use the product in a way it’s not intended.

          Right?
I have the right to use any subset of what they put on the public web, and they have the right to try to stop me.

Serving ads is not a right, sure you might argue it’s fair they get something back, I get that, but access to my eyeballs is not a right.

I will be on board when they lower their prices, until then, game on.

Serving ads is part of the agreed terms of services to use their product as a substitute for actual payment. Just as you may not want to see ads, does not mean that they should still provide you the service.

Not sure where all the entitlement comes from people wanting everything for free.

does not mean that they should still provide you the service.

I never said that, in fact I mentioned their right to try to stop me.

please if you argue with me, argue with me, not a strawman of my approximate likeness.

They make shit from ads. It’s why pretty much all have patreons and run sponsors mid video.

… because everyone blocks them, you bozo. I’m not generally gonna be out here simping for ad supported things, ad’s suck. But the reason no one makes money from ads anymore is because everyone blocks ads, and thus, companies that want to show ads have less value in the system

            It’s a self fulfuling thing.
