Isn’t that only unpopular in the US? Globally Android has like a 70+% market share.
Yea, for some reason iPhone has ~50% of the US market.
I suspect the major portion of that is business users. It’s what I use for work, because a work phone will be managed by the company, and I use it only for business contacts, calls, messaging, tools, etc. Since I wouldn’t be able to use an Android fully for work (ftp, file management, etc), it’s strengths aren’t useful there.
USA is in the America right?
It’s that fascist country north of the Gulf of Mexico.
Indeed.
.
I’m not sure how this statement is unpopular. I don’t have specific numbers, but I’m willing to bet the number of people who like Apple’s golden prison and the advantages it brings equals those who’d rather suffer Android for the privilege of sideloading and using deGoogled ROMs.
Linux is better than iPhone
Mobile Linux suffers from a chicken-and-egg problem: it may or may not be a better mobile OS, but ultimately it doesn’t matter because your bank’s mobile app or your state’s online ID app only run on Android or iOS. Mobile Linux would have to be a lot bigger for app makers to bother releasing their shit on Linux, but it can’t get bigger because people aren’t using it because it’s not a practical platform.
Smoke signals are better than teleportation
Well, yes, unpopular opinion indeed. There isn‘t really a „this is generally better“ but „this is better for your needs“. So, android has many advantages for those who are tech savvy. iOS is easy enough elder people can use it safely or companies can manage the device remotely without too much effort. Google is okay and affordable for many.
People is bullying me
Which is actually unmature. Bulliing because of a tool you use?
