I probably should help db0 and copy the link but that’s harder to keep track of versus just uploading the pic I have on my phone.

Which is exactly why I just saved it to my phone to repost it…so I only had to copy the link to your comment 😎

That’s part of the problem. They only heard what their news sources wanted them to hear and they never took it serious enough to look further into anything.

They’re still partially to blame, but constant bombardment of right wing disinfo is a huge factor in all of this.

Funny how only some people are affected by such a bombardment. Whatever could be the difference between the people who are so influenced and the people who are not?

Conservatives in general are more susceptible to disinformation as they are in perpetual fear of outgroups and so have higher threat sensitivity. They are much more likely to believe content that is emotionally rather than factually driven.

The only cure to that is education. Unfortunately, neoliberalism has concentrated wealth amongst a global elite that want to make sure they have an easily manipulatable population that will continue to vote against their own interests when a little fear mongering is dangled in front of their faces.

Part of the allure of Fascism is that it tells every prospective bootlicker the same lie: that when the dust settles, and all the undesirables are dealt with, that THEY, and ONLY THEM, will be the ones left standing, wearing The Boot.

And so, when consequences come a-knockin’ like this, it’s no surprise that these people scream “HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME???

“All of these stupid things being done by the administration we voted for are totally not our fault!”

    Imagine that, not taking responsibility.

“We don’t care about politics anymore. We just want to live in peace.”

They obviously didn’t learn a thing. They’re just not going to vote thinking that it will balance out rather than voting against trumpism.

Gentile, 31, was detained in April after returning from an international trip. Though he has held legal permanent residency for years, a 2020 misdemeanor conviction in California flagged him in the Department of Homeland Security’s system. When he appeared for a routine immigration appointment, he was arrested on the spot and later transferred to the Stewart facility in rural Georgia.

According to court documents, Gentile was convicted of infliction of injury and initially sentenced to five years of probation, later reduced to three. The case was closed in 2023. Still, ICE charged him with committing a “crime involving moral turpitude,” a designation that can lead to deportation for green card holders.

This is why due process is important.

“I don’t get it, I just voted for a man! I was just manipulated into worshipping Trump, why would I care about his policies? I voted for Trump in a popularity contest, we shouldn’t have to suffer from any actions taken by Trump! I just voted “I like this guy” on election day that’s all!”

…wtf does voting for Trump even mean in separation from his intended goals?

“First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out”

Instead, I voted for them. And now . . now I’m speaking out.

    Karma.
