The ADAM contraceptive is a hydrogel injected into the male sperm ducts to block the passage of sperm, and it seems to still be effective two years into the first human clinical trial.
My (now ex-) wife had a rough pregnancy, with our daughter ending up being born about 2 months premature. Her OB said that any future pregnancies would result in her being on bed rest after about 3 months. While we had originally wanted 2 kids, we made the decision that I should get snipped. Got it done on Thursday morning and spent the weekend playing video games with an ice pack on my nuts. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Yeah, it really is not that bad. I know it can be a hard sell to many men, though, understandably. It can take a bit of mental fortitude to allow someone to take a blade to your tenders. 🤣
Agreed! While I’ve never wanted children, I had to wait a considerable time before a doctor would perform a vasectomy on me. I think that there should be continued research into temporary male birth control for those who may want children. There have been several promising non-hormonal methods that I would like to either see approved or have wider adoption. I also believe that we need continued education on condom use, as STIs disproportionately affect women.

Even though female birth control comes with disproportionately more side effects, some men still refuse.

That would be the dream. And condoms are underrated.
I also hope the chance of getting baby trapped goes down a little bit too. Won’t stop birth control sabotage, but it would still help.
