Aside from “We did something that we were told not to do”, what is something like this supposed to accomplish?

I can’t legally condone them, but I understand the Tesla dealership fires and assassinations/attempts. But I don’t understand what a campout is supposed to accomplish.

It forces the administration to keep looking at the problem. They can’t pretend things are back to business as usual. The administration has to decide how to respond. Will their response continue to alienate students and faculty who have an ounce of empathy? Or will it begin to address their previous mistakes in a meaningful way. Either way, these students are forcing the conversation. Even if the administration does nothing at all, that is in itself a message.

Protests are just a statement. That’s the first step. If the statement is ignored, next comes action. A protest is a warning.

It’s almost like you’re a straw man argument against your own point of view. Truly a parody of yourself. Impressive!
