Elon Musk said on an earnings call Tuesday that he plans to devote more of his attention to running his electric vehicle company Tesla, which reported a stark drop in sales and revenues for the first quarter of the year, amid pervasive concerns about the impacts of tariffs and Musk’s own role in reshaping the government.
Honestly, he should try to blend back into the woodwork. Him being the face of Tesla is not going to help anything, no matter how much or little time he’s actually doing any “work” related to Tesla.
BTW, it’s nice that we can all point to fElon as a counterpoint when some tool is spouting off about how CxOs work harder than anyone else, comparing them to top athletes and other such obvious bullshit. The guy supposedly runs several companies, meaning all of them must, by definition, be part-time jobs.
Meanwhile, a company tends to get spicy if you try to do moonlighting. Apparently, splitting your time between multiple companies is only something for the working poor - working multiple jobs because one job does not pay a living wage - or the obscenely parasitic wealthy like fElon. It’s often quite typical for these people to sit on each others’ boards, too. Apparently, there are no concerns about “loyalties” for a certain class of citizen.
