Wang Guanjung and Zhang Renbo tell reporters in Ukraine they were ‘fed lies’ while fighting for Moscow
Two Chinese citizens captured fighting against Ukraine said they were “fed lies” by Russia and that Vladimir Putin’s forces were not as strong as they claimed.
Wang Guanjung and Zhang Renbo were captured fighting for Russia in eastern Ukraine earlier this month.
Handcuffed and wearing military fatigues at a briefing organised by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian national news agency, the pair said: “All Russia fed us are lies. They’re fake. Russia isn’t as strong as they claim, and Ukraine isn’t as backwards as they say.”
Vladimir Putin’s forces were not as strong as they claimed.
A three day special operation that turned into a three year operation? The headline is not exactly groundbreaking.
“All Russia fed us are lies. They’re fake. Russia isn’t as strong as they claim, and Ukraine isn’t as backwards as they say.”
And, nothing has changed. Two weeks march to Helsinki to save those poor backwater Finnish boys from oppression and starvation and all that.
Did you know: the famous molotov cocktail is named such because when ussr was bombing the Finns, they publicly claimed to be dropping humanitarian food aid, and definitely not incindiary bombs. The Finns decided to give them the name “Molotovs Bread Basket” - after the foreign minister Vyacheslav Molotov - and named our incendiary weaponry consisting of a bottle of booze the Molotov’s cocktail, a “drink to go with the bread”.
Also the official name for it is polttoPullo, burnBottle. Definitely not to be confused with polttoPallo, which is dodgeball.
Wait, does it mean that your version of dodgeball is literally ‘burnball’? Or does poltto have two different meanings? Either way, I love the word already.
Funny, in german it’s also called Burnball (‘Brennball’).
I mean they’re using donkeys and electric scooters on the front…
The 3 day special operation turned into 3 years of struggle. They’re definitely not as strong as they claim.
Russia lying? Who would have opened a history book and thought that?!
Hey, they use those 1957 trucks too!
Plants vs Z
Eh as much as I would like it to be true, I would take the word of captured enemy combatants with a grain of salt.
It is against the Geneva Convention to use POWs for propaganda.
Doesn’t apply because Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions states that “A mercenary shall not have the right to be a combatant or a prisoner of war”, with a mercenary being defined as a person joining the conflict for personal gain, which these individuals seem to be from their own accounts.
That was more interesting than 18 downvotes. Thanks!
Russia prefers to execute POWs.
