This is one of those funny things about right-wingers. They often insist that people who don’t agree with them watch CNN because of how they get their news is from Fox or OAN. They get their opinions spoon-fed to them so they think that’s how everybody does.
it’s why they think the left also treat politics as sports. they can’t imagine thinking of politics as anything other than rooting for your team and hoping they win even if you think the quarterback is shitty.
they’re locked into their way of doing things because they don’t have the imagination to consider the possibility that there are other ways. when we explain that there are other ways, they think we argue the same way they do. without the conviction to believe better things are possible. they assume we’re just saying whatever our quarterback is saying, just like they are.
