I mostly ignore the absolute price and just look at the price/100g. Under £1/100g used to be the norm but is now only cheap stuff; under £1.50/100g is what I’ll accept for nicer stuff; but above that is crazy. Some of the “luxury” stuff like lindt can hit £3/100g which is insane. This is why I never buy easter eggs because the price is actually insanely high per 100g, just it’s disguised by the big packaging and lots of empty space.
