21 days agoI’m a member of the Canadian section of the RCI, and I would say we’re revolutionary. Our organization is growing rapidly and is built on a foundation of democratic principles and a strong focus on theory, particularly dialectical materialism. If your interested in hearing more you should read some of the articles on the website or listen to one of the podcasts (Marxist Voice, School of Communism, or Spectre of Communism. You can send me a message if you have any questions or I’ll reply on here.
I just wanted to add that, one big thing that seperates Trotskyist from other “parties” is that we emphasize the international aspect of socialism and that the revolution will never be over until the entire working class of the world is free. This is different from what happened in the Soviey Union and what’s happening in China where they beleive socialism can be acheived in one country. I beleive china will be the primary global superpower in the near future, but I’m not as hopeful that they’ll lead a global revolution. Again, the RCI is first and foremost an International organiztion, so if you’re looking to be a part of an international organization I’d reach out to your local section and have a talk with someone and see if it’s for you.
