Kinda funny because just recently Sweden canceled plans to build new wind farms because they’d interfere with their radars. https://www.defensenews.com/global/europe/2024/11/11/why-sweden-nixed-new-wind-farms-for-fear-of-missing-russian-missiles/

Haven’t used it myself yet so can’t talk about it their recommendation algorithm, but Qobuz has been recommended several times here, it’s French and apparently has a very good payout to artists per play compared to others.
Regarding prices, one thing to consider is that even if a company has their chips produced in China, they had the costs of design and development, while Chinese just steal/copy those designs and therefore can sell them cheaper. I heard a joke long time ago from some hobby electronics nerd that went like “if you want your circuit board design etched for cheap, just send it to a Chinese manufacturer asking for a quotation, and a few weeks/months later you can buy your own PCB mass produced on AliExpress”, and I think that’s pretty accurate.
That looks much better, thanks!
TBH I’m quite surprised they even considered showing that propaganda shitshow, they must have completely missed the shitstorms the other film festivals encountered last year.
The 70s was before my time, I remember the Canadian flag thing though. But as I understood that’s more about not wanting to be associated with other American tourists who can behave quite obnoxiously when traveling in groups and taking full advantage of strong cheap local beers and the lower legal drinking age. There is and always was some degree of anti-americanism from the left, but on a political level and not something you’d have to worry about as an individual tourist. The headline is also a bit misleading in that sense, this “anti-americanism” is directed at Trump’s shenanigans, not random tourists.
I gave it a shot but without public transport navigation it’s pretty useless for me. Also I don’t enjoy being bugged to create an account or pay 19€ for a “premium user badge” just to make that “please give us money” button go away that’s permanently covering part of the map.
https://www.cleverreach.com/ is another one, from Germany.
fluffychat is another decent client worth trying.
If they have Fitz they might have Afri Cola as well, another cola from German that I think is even better than Fritz, definitely worth trying.
Not just jackets, all kinds of outdoor clothes as well as sleeping bags and other camping stuff. Crazy expensive though.
10€ per year for free shipping sounds great actually, but I guess it depends on what percentage of stuff is shipped by OTTO and how much from market place people that are not included. Will definitely check it out, thanks!
Do they have something like Prime where you pay a flat fee per month/year and then shipping is free?
In Firefox (other browsers probably as well) you can add custom keywords for searches. For example visit Wikipedia, right click the search field and pick “add keyword” from the menu. As keyword enter “!wiki” or whatever you want and from now on you can just type “!wiki whatever” in the URL bar, no need to take the detour to duckduckgo or some other search engine.
Wero is cool EU project but isn’t supported by all banks yet. https://wero-wallet.eu/
Have you ever bleached your hair? That shit burns AF both on your skin and in your eyes. Now imagine you got bred for the sole purpose of spending your life in a tiny cage where people test painful chemicals on you till you die. Pretty cruel indeed.
I think it’s about hair bleach since Garnier (cosmetics/hair product brand) was mentioned. Hair bleach is/was commonly tested on animals, so even though it doesn’t contain animal products it’s connected to animal cruelty.
I’d recommend picking a country first and checking job boards specifically for that country as each has their own preferred job websites and in my experience many/most companies usually don’t bother posting job ads on international sites.
If you’re willing to pay for an account I think you’ll find that most providers absolutely don’t mind selling you multiple accounts. If you don’t need separate accounts but just multiple addresses you can check out mailbox.org. In their standard plan you get 25 aliases and if you bring your own domain 50 more addresses for that domain.
Way better than Google and I especially love that in translatons they also seamlessly convert weirdo imperial units to metric so you don’t have to deal with cups and feet or whatever.
