Doctor Aphra and Doctor Valence are both fan-favourite characters created by Disney, so I’m not really sure how they could disrespect them.

Just unsubscribe from the community if you don’t like star wars haha
I haven’t really kept up with them since the relaunch a couple of years back, but I’ve read pretty much everything up to the War of the Bounty Hunters stuff. Aphra is really cool and fun, I think she’d be a big hit if they made a movie or a TV show about her. She’s a bit like Indiana Jones. Fun, quirky, honestly ideal for a Gen Z/Alpha audience. The majority of this community would probably hate her though, since unfortunately it seems to be overpopulated with people who just want to bitch and moan about Disney constantly! Although, they probably would like Aphra’s droids, one of which is all but confirmed to be HK-47’s personality core in a protocol droid. Good stuff!
Valence is an Aphra villain, if you think of a Nazi Scientist bionics expert guy, it’s kind of that. I thought the recent Andor show was kind of hinting that there might be some appearance from him in the future with Dr. Hershing.
By voting for Kamala, you are expressly supporting her, and by extension, you are expressly supporting genocide. You can play all the rhetorical tricks you want, but that doesn’t change the reality of the decision you’re making.
If you can tolerate that, then we have different principles. I will never support genocide. If that means that my vote is worthless, then so be it.
If the will of the people can no longer be expressed through the democratic process, then the process is not democratic. It’s a farce, a performance designed to make you think that you can influence policy.
What we really need is revolution.
I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that the statute of limitations for crimes against minors can be extended, because they were (obviously) minors when those crimes occurred, but I might be misremembering
people using drugs has zero effect on neighbourhoods, what you’re talking about are the knock-on effects of drug use, pretty much all of which are easily solved by just providing people with necessities like shelter, food, healthcare and education.
the largest contributor to drug use is poverty, so if you want to see a reduction in drug use, start advocating for expanding welfare programs
no, I got the point perfectly. if the democrat party put a clone of trump as their pick for president, and he was running against the non-clone trump, you would vote for the trump clone, and convince yourself that you were making an informed, measured, tactical, grown-up choice. it’s mass delusion.
You people would vote for Trump if he wore a blue tie.
Some people, myself included, have principles which prevent them from voting for a genocidal candidate, even in a first past the post system where the other candidate is more genocidal.
There’s very little point in trying to convince people who have a moral objection against supporting genocide to support genocide.
Like, y’all could have a whole people-led movement to elect a third party if you really wanted to, and if nothing else it would maybe put pressure on the Democrats to stop supporting genocide, but you’re so fucking brainwashed into believing that a third party will never matter that you’re incapable of even conceiving the thought.
The chance that Google, for some reason, wants people to have babies, is significantly lower than the chance you just happen to fit some demographics cohort which is likely to have a baby, or to soon have a baby.
It doesn’t really, it’s just that human activity on the internet is more and more taking place on platforms without any search indexing. 20 years ago, internet forum are where you’d go for advice online. Nowadays, it’s more and more becoming discord servers and similar, which just aren’t indexed by internet search.
Some of the older stuff is indeed that way, but there are more and more features which Firefox can’t support. Web-based custom keyboard configuration tools, tools to flash phone firmware, and one niche MiniDisc tool all are chrome-only things I’ve had to open Chrome to use
There’s not really much actual solid research which demonstrates that calorie-counting is an effective method of weight loss.
https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/stop-counting-calories
Moreover, there’s not really much solid research which demonstrates that weight loss should even be the focus of improving our health. People who are considered “overweight” based on their BMI score (which is another completely arbitrary and unhelpful metric) should not be focusing on weight loss.
The thing that people should be focusing on is simply any type of regular physical activity. It doesn’t particularly matter much what that activity is, it’s far more effective to choose an activity you enjoy.
But if we bully dorks that means people will bully me as well :(
Yeah, but that’s my point, not everything works in Firefox now - even though admittedly it’s relatively niche stuff - and my prediction is that if we continue on our current course Firefox will either have to compromise their commitment to privacy and security or will become more and more unusable.
calories are an arbitrary metric anyways, wood has a ton of calories but you can’t digest it, so they’re a very vague guideline at the very best, and misleading at worst
We’re going to have a serious problem on our hands soon with compatibility. I’m a software dev and I’m already seeing a few issues here and there where Chrome is being treated as the default expected browser and features don’t work on Firefox.
Firefox doesn’t support a fair few Chrome features because of security and privacy reasons, such as WebHID, WebUSB, etc.
Devs, please stop using those features. I know it’s tempting, but they’re basically bribes to encourage you to sell out to Google. Don’t do it.
That is one of the worst-written things I’ve ever read in my entire life. It reminds me of reading Jordan Peterson, like the author thinks they derive authority from how obtusely they can phrase simple concepts.
Maybe some people think this kind of writing is clever or impressive, but it just reeks of insecurity to me.
I don’t think bullying dorks who cosplay as their cyberpunk OC will help. Bully billionaires instead.
Decades of criminalisation has demonstrated that punishment is completely ineffective, you mean? Because welfare programs which give money to impoverished people have been demonstrated to be very effective. It’s spending money on crap like DARE that’s a total waste of time and money.
