but if it’s the same thing how am i defending it, I don’t quite get it
idk, if i call murder a homicide, am i defending murder?
i’m not a native English speaker so I’d glad to know about these English synonyms

Oh sorry, I’m maybe cofusing CSAM with something else, also I thought CP is when the act of sexual assault is explicitly shown in the said material, not just when the victim is shown in the crime location, like for example a photo that police or reporter might have taken from the crime scene and the victim
I always use “New” for my subscribed communities and use “Active” or “Hot” for those outside of my instance because it gets a bit overwhelming.
I mean, lemmy is just reddit with fewer users haha
hmm, like how? I don’t know the guy, It’s just what I gathered from both sides, those who cheered for the suspension and those who were against the suspension.
ah, wait until he removes this feature too
i mean it’s still correct, i got what he meant lol
yea ik and I agree, he should’ve stayed suspended, he could’ve just wrote about it instead of sharing whatever he found. I just don’t like when the words changes from post to post or contexts are omitted when sharing.
i realized my original comment is also missing a lot about what i wanted to say, but i got burned real quick lol.
lol, I’m not doing that to defend anyone. It’s just to not accept every word comes out from that braindead bird app. correct word for what happened is CSAM not CP
no I’m not denying it, just gave abit more context. Apparently it was a news article the post itself was also subject of the suspension and then there was the CSAM photos, not cp, but still worth getting banned for
the “CP” was a news article, but well…
edit: ok, I stopped at “but well” but I didn’t know it’d get this much hate, my bad. All I wanted to say is that the guy shared a news article about an incident in the Philippines. In his replies, he also posted photos from a video related to the article. I don’t like it when I see Twitter screenshots in which the user changes the words to fit their claims. The post was subject to CSAM concerns along with the photos. So, it’s not explicitly “CP”, but it still violates the platform’s rules, and the guy should have remained suspended.
yeah true 👍. i just responded to what OP asked, “sign up websites” and send basic emails
Thanks for the clarification. It would’ve been also good if you could leave it at the explanation and not accusing me of more things. I genuinely didn’t know. But I guess it’s social media after all, internet points worth more.
