The popular party is not centrist, they once called themselves that but they’ve always been right wing. They might seem centrists now that the far right has gained prominence but they are not.
Once said that, yeah, the socialist party has been practising the political inbreeding for so long that I doubt there’s anyone left with half a brain.

There’s a period of pre-campaign were they can’t run ads but they start appearing in media more than usual. Everyone knows the parties anyway, and more or less what each stands for.
From I gathered so far, lemmy is still pretty small, so unless you browse all local communities or all the instances it feels pretty limited.
I’m sure it will grow eventually.
I don’t miss anything from reddit, I can still go there if I want. If anything, lemmy still feels underpopulated if I only browse the stuff I’m subscribed to.

In Spain the campaign starts 15 days before the election day and ends at the 00 hours of the day before the election. The day before the election is called “reflexion day” and is illegal to run campaign ads or have any event.
Election day is always on a Sunday.
Many years ago I realised that any believe system based on fear of something can’t be trusted. If it tries to manipulate you in any way, it’s just that, manipulation. Maybe that was helpful centuries ago among fearful people, I don’t know.
From what was left, all that stuff didn’t really matter, specially if it was true because it is some sort of wait and see and meanwhile it doesn’t affect me.
There was a book I read maybe 25 years ago about this that helped a lot to shape how I see spiritualism. I could try to find it if you’re interested, I don’t think it would be hard to find.
It will give you an excuse to sit down and do absolutely nothing for 20 minutes for free.
Just try and see for yourself, it’s not some sort of investment so important that you need to do some research first.
I wrote journals for years, they help a little. I used them to vent, to discuss with myself about stuff I couldn’t discuss with someone else, put thoughts in order, practice calligraphy (people now praise my handwriting), etc. I never took it as a chore, so when I didn’t feel like it I didn’t write.
I went to cognitive behavioural therapy and that not only helped the most, it gave me tools to get out of the hole when I fall into it.
Also helped to stop pretending anything on a screen is social interaction. I ditched every social platform except reddit and now lemmy, these two, because I don’t know anyone feel different

If you need to ask that to internet strangers it means that you don’t know your significant other.
I’m completely fine sacrificing resolution. I don’t care about 4k resolutions at all, from where I sit to watch I can barely see the fly poops near the corners of the screen, and those are huge compared to the size of the pixels.

When people gets banned on one site they go to the other, it is normal to have here a disproportionate number of banned reddit users.
Me myself I said something about execution and elon musk and just got a warning. The best part is that they issue a warning but they don’t tell you for what.
I don’t mean the military acronyms, those make the most sense of all.
I mean all the other, you just need to see the reat of the comments, video games, names of celebrities and politicians, others are used as euphemisms. Now you can even read news articles were only use the acronym of whatever without mentioning a single time what that acronym stands for.
There was a river rafting company not too far from where I live that switched to carrier pigeons to deliver SD cards to home base.
They had photographers stationed at a few points down river taking pictures of the clients, after each group had passed they put the SD card on one pigeon and it flew straight to base. By the time the clients were back to base the pictures were already printed and no one had to hurry back or rely on having good enough signal.
