93·42 minutes agoThe people in the blue states are afraid for their lives.
This isn’t a situation where the people in the blue states need to be aware of the danger Trump poses to Canadians and the problems he poses for Canada and need to be made aware of it.
The people in the blue states are unable to afford much of anything now, not food, not healthcare, not housing, not transportation, nothing. And on top of that, they’re afraid of being disappeared because the Trump regime is disappearing people for no cause, because of things like having an autism awareness tattoo or like publishing a letter.
It’s not to say that what Canada is facing from Trump isn’t bad, but no, people in the blue states are MORE aware of the dangers of Trump than you are. Canadians are justified in reacting, absolutely, but people in the U.S. in blue states are not unaware of what’s going on, and don’t need Canadians to make them aware of these things.

5·5 days agoThe more money you have, the more daily annoyances you can pay to get rid of, and the smaller they are. By the time you have billions of dollars, the things that annoy you daily can be EXTREMELY small and petty. You become disconnected from what other people are dealing with.
2·6 days agoThe political left in the U.S. often aligns more closely with the center or even the moderate right in European countries, due to America’s overall more conservative political spectrum.
That’s a misconception. The political parties are owned by the same billionaires, and they never allow farther left candidates to be nominated.
The politicians themselfs are right-leaning. That doesn’t mean the people actually are. There is huge support for left-leaning policies in the United States, but the people in the U.S. have effectively no ability to get policy passed.
You overestimate the U.S. citizens’ ability to influence the U.S. Government. It is not a democracy and has not been at least for my whole life. People in the U.S. have effectively no control over laws that get passed.
Gee, I can’t imagine why Germany would want to slow down government actions…
It looks like a lot of US states are about to declare backsies.

3·11 days agoDo you prioritize not having illegal status in another country over your own ability to stay alive and stay safe?
1·12 days agoJust make sure you never go anywhere near a protest unless your phone is in airplane mode or off. Governments can use phone networks to tell whose phones are active within a given area.
And talk to the people there to learn how to be more effective.
Each day’s protest has more people than the last, even on days when the weather is awful.
Bring more people to the protests. Don’t stop now.
If that’s going to happen anyway, might as well happen the first day.
Parrots can mimic humans too, but they don’t understand what we’re saying the way we do.
It’s interesting how humanity thinks that humans are smarter than animals, but that the benchmark it uses for animals’ intelligence is how well they do an imitation of an animal with a different type of brain.
As if humanity succeeds in imitating other animals and communicating in their languages or about the subjects that they find important.
The United States would be better with a lot more toasters.

As someone from the U.S., I was so hesitant to switch to another OS, but damn. With everything that’s going on, I kind of feel that I have to switch over to Graphene OS.
This is insane.
