100% you should never run a computer without a cooler on the CPU. Even with a cooler CPUs can easily get over 60 degrees Celsius very quickly. Without a cooler it’s probably reaching unsafe temperatures (90+ degrees Celsius) almost immediately because it has nothing to dissipate the heat.
Please, leave it turned off until you get the cooler on there so you don’t damage your CPU. 😭
I am also using Voyager on my phone and because of how it loads pictures,I legitimately thought those were still two separate posts on my screen rather than one hmmmmm post about two posts being back to back. >_<

For the way people react to you: That’s going to be based on your reputation with their faction that you set in character creation + your Personality stat. I just made a hoity-toity Paladin-eque character and I set his reputation with nobility really high and underworld really low, with commoners just a little bit low (-2)…Asking people in town for stuff results in a lot of turned up noses telling me to stuff it. Lol.
But also, for commoners, picking the Blunt option (your Streetwise skill) when speaking to them usually helps, and picking Polite (your Etiquette skill) usually makes them dislike you because it makes you talk like the upper class.
I spent hundreds of hours in the mid-to-late 90’s playing Daggerfall, which meant using it’s original control scheme; if you haven’t tried that out…you should, just so you know what it was like (but I recommend using the Normal setting for reflexes because you will not be able to attack/do stuff as quickly). Pro tip: In that control scheme, to look with the mouse, press Enter to enter Mouse Look mode. Press it again to go back to movement/interaction mode. The Home key centers your character’s view again, and Page Up/Page Down look up and down if you don’t want to switch out of interaction mode. Holding down the mouse button and literally moving it in a direction to determine the type of attack (side to side for swipes, forward for stab, backward for overhead swing/kick) was certainly unique, even for the time. WASD controls didn’t become standard until after Quake and Half Life exploded onto the scene.
I highly recommend the following mods which add great quality of life changes without changing fundamentals about the game or quests. If you don’t want to load your game down with a ton of mods, I urge you to at least grab the top two in my list as they modernize the game in the same way that Daggerfall Unity modernized the overall controls with a WASD + Mouse Look control scheme:
Yeah, here in the U.S. at Blockbuster you would get a clear plastic case that held the game cartridge and that was it. They must have still kept some of the original boxes in their storage though, because I bought a used copy of Mega Man X for SNES from Blockbuster and it came in it’s original box, but with no manual.

KDE just works on my machine, which is lower specs than yours. I’ve never had it crash. I use Endeavor OS, so it came with it by default (which was part of the reason I chose it).
Edit: I don’t do much tweaking of the KDE settings other than the main color scheme. I also have never had an issue with waking from sleep on Endeavor (but I recall in years past that was an issue with most distros I tried and unrelated to KDE since I was less a fan of its style back then and didn’t use KDE). My set up is a normal desktop PC that I use daily for everything, including gaming.

KDE for sure. The modern versions look exactly like how I want a desktop environment to look out of the box, and they keep the full range of customizability that a desktop should, IMO, allow it’s users to have. Which is something Windows just kept slowly getting rid of over the years.
I also prefer to have a taskbar that is ever present with a traditional start menu that’s cleanly organized by category rather than the current full screen pop up “activities” search thing gnome does nowadays.

Sadly, Chester grew up being horribly abused and then using a lot of drugs. He was super close with Chris Cornell, who had also killed himself some months prior to Chester. Chester had been sober for a time but ended up staying the night alone after traveling and drank a little and hung himself on Chris’s birthday.
Mike Shinoda has stated in interviews that when he and Chester would write lyrics, they would focus on the emotion and not necessarily just the exact experience. So the lyrics would slowly evolve until they both could sing them truthfully while relating them to their own separate lived experiences, which is part of why they can be so universally related to - because none of their songs are truly only about one specific thing, but rather about the feelings people experience.
I didn’t know it was about Crystal meth for a really long time because I only heard it on the radio for many many years and they only played a clean version where the phrase “Crystal Meth” is cut out in a way that’s not really obvious it was edited so I just never understood the lyrics.

Aside from some of the other things people have already mentioned, going to or volunteering for various festivals and conventions can be a great way to meet random people and get out of the house. If you’re volunteering you’re more likely to end up meeting more local-ish people (like from whatever nearest Metro area the event is occurring in since you said you’re super rural).
Even if you don’t meet any cool new friends you want to stay in touch with, they can be a ton of fun and are a great reason to get out of the house. I’ve ended up having some really amazing experiences that I absolutely never thought possible just because I got out and went to Conventions (mostly anime or game conventions for me, but there are all kinds).
I had a conversation with a friend about this exact kind of thing awhile back. We realized we had opposite expectations. She was under the assumption that people just kept stuff she told them secret unless specifically told that they could share it. I operate under the opposite assumption: that nothing is a secret unless the person sharing it specifically says not to share it (that applies to myself as well).
Regardless of which assumption one operates on currently, it’s much safer to operate under the latter one (I highly recommend it).
Family can be even more complicated, because in my experience even if you tell a family member to keep something a secret, that usually means, to most people, “keep it a secret from strangers” and you can bet that your other family members will find out about whatever it is you told that person.
I finally bought a Razer mouse just a couple years ago since it was one of the few I could find that was a USB receiver + Bluetooth wireless gaming mouse I could use with my desktop and steam deck. Still works great, thankfully. But otherwise I learned the hard way many years ago to just buy Logitech after purchasing a stupid expensive gaming mouse from a brand I’ve forgotten whose left click died in less than a year. I don’t think I’ve ever had a Logitech product actually die on me; I just eventually replace them with a newer Logitech product.
With Valve pumping all that development money and effort into proton, I will finally be able to go full Linux before Windows 10 ends it’s life. I only needed it for gaming, but those days are finally gone! Thanks Valve! _

They have both an android app with a lot of good features (stream or download, can set how many episodes to download at a time, when to delete old ones, all per podcast and as global defaults, set up your own categories/lists, display order, play order, etc) and an actual web site where you can log in and listen to your stuff as well with synced history, so you can pick up pretty much at the exact spot you paused a podcast on your phone (or vice versa).
