  • @[email protected] this has sent me down a lovely rabbit hole. In the very early 80’s, Kokomo had a restaurant called “The Pipe Dream.” It served pizza and ice cream and was decorated in old time movie posters. In the center was a Wurlitzer, with a live organist who took requests nightly. In the back was a dark arcade, with Centipede, Pac-Man (and Ms), Donkey Kong, Space Invaders. We were thrilled to go anytime my folks suggested it. I got my initials on Centipede and was so proud ❤️

    A Facebook post picture from Jack Woodward of a Wurlitzer organ and a grand piano at the Pipe Dream restaurant in Kokomo IN.  These were in the window facing the street.  I can't find any articles about when it opened or when it closed, only Facebook posts saying -"hey do you guys remember Bill Tandy playing at the Pipe Dream". My best guess it was 1982 to 1988 or so.  Happy memories.
