  • I’m not discounting the role plastic has played, I grew up when Teflon was used on everything, even the living room couch. Plastic was the miricle do all material and it was cheap. And it was perfect for the “disposable” generation who liked to throw everything away instead of dealing with it (looking at you Mom and Dad).

Living in a large city that has tripled in population since my youth and I can promise you pollution has gotten worse in the last couple decades. Unless you’re lucky enough to live in a rural area, pollution is taking its toll on your body as well.

It’s all bad for you when you get down to it. I sincerely hope humanity can find its way off plastic in my lifetime.

  • As someone born in Texas it is disgusting how the attorney general of the state is able to disregard civil rights and abuse his office in pursuit of his political agenda.

I waited years for the feds to stick something to him only to watch his cornies let him off the hook for all his crooked deeds in a show trial. That was the day I knew democracy and Justice were only fairytails in the “Lone Star State”.

Glad I’m leaving this shit hole finally.

Paxton falsely claimed that immigrants were being given social security numbers at the border as part of the scheme, too. There’s no evidence of that, or that noncitizens cast ballots in any significant numbers.

AIPAC was founded in 1954 by Isaiah L. Kenen, a lobbyist for the Israeli government, partly to counter negative international reactions to Israel’s Qibya massacre of Palestinian villagers that year.

Almost like there is a common theme here…
