Let’s wait 'til the shopping spree is over and break them the fuck up <3
Hmh. I am surprised to hear of this here first. Maybe I’m not subscribing to a balanced media diet, but I didn’t know Paks II was on pause because of America. Troubling because any and all sides could have politicized it.
Hi Everyone!
I thought I’d stop by and share a bit. I’m one of those slower adopters who slouched over after reddit’s api crash (i still use old.reddit to check in on my old.country), and am part of the wave that found their way here from lemm.ee. From my time on that instance my main take-away was that dialogue is more sincere on the lemmiverse than reddit, and I guess I’m not a tankie. Hex, eh?
I am really happy to have spotted this community in the wild. Just in the past hour I read up on new methods for reaching consensus, just by taking a cursory glance at guidelines and lore. This feels right.
I already wanted to argue how can anyone just pick one character, when I realized I already did as well. Maybe I can add more color in the next census. What’s up with the ‘other’ catagory? Everything made emotional sense and then comes Elon Musk! How spicy.
Anywho, thanks for having me.
P.s.: I haven’t really linked the lemm.ee account (not even sure if it’s possible or worth it), but I have found some threads I was commenting on and followed up with the new account. If you go deep enough, you can see how I need to read up on my communistic script. Looking forward to figuring out how deep this rabbit hole goes.
I think I was able to bring the ‘at’ closer to the time, but I’m not sure it’s correct:
‘This can’t possibly be the same 9pm I used to start getting ready at for a night out’
I’m tempted to remove the ‘used to’ and just put it in simple past for brevity, but that would hold back half the punch.
This is one of my favorite types of discourse. Polishing jokes and grammar in the gravitas it deserves.
Truly wonderful.
You need the gaming in this lifestyle to help divert attention from not being able to get comfort foods at month’s end.
Otherwise it leaves me all the time to realize the physical and mental hells I am putting myself through. I’ve been qualified for free health care for over a year, but I just arrived to the point where I can reach out and engage the system. I initially thought enrolling would come in handy if I get into an accident, but last week I made the call to start preventive treatments.
I have an appointment with an actual doctor next month. I am also getting the ball rolling on the emotional side. I was contemplating moving back home, but now I might give this current iteration some more time.
edit: i just reread the title (of course I didn’t read the article); I’m 40.
I’ve heard that the high tide was end of WW II. Sloping exponentially downwards, with the occasional oil boom or bust.
Oooh, I’m one of those! Gaming on foodstamps and social health in a US state, AMA.
I’m pretty sure it’s light-weight psyops. Gitmo got a cutesy name as well. Anyone not directly part of the silly walks ministerium doesn’t give a nickname to something so serious.
