5·10 hours agoIMHO any overt mention of gender outside of a relevant context is probably a political statement (or humour, but we can probably ignore that for this discussion).
There are subtleties of course, a ‘women only gym’ for example is an unfortunate necessity given the typical behaviour of my gender. It is in context.

32·17 hours agoSorry. I’m not explaining myself well and “just” was a poor word choice.
I refuse to (try to) idolize anything (well anything tangible) and especially things that are important to me. So music is an art like any other art. Someone will love it others might hate it and that’s fine.
The “hype” is idolatry. Kind of in the biblical sense.
My relationship is with the music, not the artist. So no artist is with the “hype”.
