I joined the Fediverse originally because I was curious about the #openstreetmap instance, then found lots of interesting things about my other interests such as #photography, #hiking, and travelling by #train.
All these interests are also reflected in my photos on Flickr and Pixelfed.
I had a personal website/blog way back in the 00s, and will definitely certainly 100% get around to reviving it some day soon. Soonish.
@Showroom7561 OpenStreetMap has been subject to serious vandalism. It seems that while the underlying data has been cleaned up, some users of this data including CyclOSM have not yet been able to update their tiles.

@schnurrito @infeeeee Nominatim recognises some “special phrases” with words like “near” and “in”. This allows just a little bit of “natural language” searching for POIs.
There is some info on the OSM wiki at this link. Within that, the “current language” pages tell you which phrases are recognised per language. You can see that the English language page has several mappings related to public bookcases.
