Heh, thanks. Subbed.
does Lemmy have an imsorryjon community?
I get what you were saying and in spirit I agree. Emotionally I want them to know how stupid they are. I definitely agree that getting people to take vaccines is worth any amount of effort. However, I feel like rhetoric with bad data representation gives fuel to the other side rather than scaring the people who need to be scared though.
Well, military drones used to have a quite different look to them that you wouldn’t associate as directly with hobby grade RC planes or even quads. Now they are strapping mines to regular FPV quads and that plane looks only a little more military than a pretty standard rc plane. The FAA is already pretty far up our ass, wanting us to put trackers on our stuff… This can’t help. Perception really matters in this sort of thing.
As an RC pilot I really, really, really hate that their “drones” look like hobby grade planes. We’re getting enough pushback from plebs as it is. To be clear, I don’t blame them at all, it is just one more way Russia is making the world a worse place to exist.
Most of the time, somebody claiming that gaslighting has happened is a reason to ignore anything they say.

Good gravy. Don’t use data in that way. If you say 1 in 36 of all kids get autism with the vaccines and then use a sample size of 5 and say 1 in 5 die of not getting vaccines, you just make the data sound stupid. 1 in 5 out of the full number of unvaccinated children aren’t dying… I also doubt 1 in 36 out of all vaccinated children are getting autism from the vaccine, but it is posited in the statement as a fact so the logic of the next statement has to match. Suppose a family has one child who dies of an unexpected allergic reaction to the vaccine, and their family tells others that they really should still get vaccinated, is she saying that despite there being a 100% death rate for vaccines because 1 out of 1 children died? Is she stupid?.. Keep to the high road and keep the rhetoric out of it…
Well, I doubt they really went super cheap. I read elsewhere they used the same glue that is in other high end cars but most cars don’t have stainless steel being one of the panels. SS conducts heat better than regular steel apparently and that might have caused differences in curing. Any car that differs this much from the norm will have unexpected problems. They should have done a bit more testing, but I wonder if this particuar issue would have come up in any reasonable test situation. I see hundreds of those trucks on the road and never saw one with missing panels. The current atmosphere doesn’t reward accurate reporting on what should be a simple subject though, so who knows…

There is a place for Capitalism. Prisons, Hospitals, Insurance, police and mental health facilities, to name a few, are not the place.
I die too fast in Noita to get too deep into it… I liked what I played of it though. Something about Starbound made it feel like Temu Terraria… I can’t put my finger on why it feels so … fake? Like physics or the way the player model moves and interacts with blocks is off or something. Maybe it is just too close to Terraria and the many hours I spent in Terraria makes anything close feel off.
I suppose in a few months, after this current round of Minecraft, I’ll be pulled into Terraria again. I had a pretty good head of steam on the way to finishing my 2 year old run of BG3 when I made the mistake of opening Minecraft… Terraria is about the only thing that could rival minecraft in addictive qualities for me. It has the added benefit that I can talk my wife into playing Terraria but she won’t touch minecraft.
