  • You know, I agree with you, but we’re already on the same team. Keep in mind though, we aren’t trying to change the minds of the few powerful and evil motherfuckers who want us all dead. It can’t be done. We want the average person to side with us, and the average person builds logical arguments around their emotions, not the other way around.

    The average person is not a murderous freak and being made out to be one simply because they aren’t on board with something they don’t understand will absolutely harbor negative sentiment. They aren’t going to be discerning and they are going to take this to be about them. And like I said, then the logical arguments get built around that negative sentiment. Then they start voting, and so on.

    I’m not saying calm down, because you shouldn’t. But red-hot messaging does not help. Turn the temperature down and you’ll see more people agreeing with you who, importantly, didn’t already agree with you BEFORE they read your message.

  • As someone who grew up with a debilitating learning disability, I definitely don’t have internalized hatred toward people who, honestly, I consider to be “my own kind” for lack of better words. I could go on but I think that’s about all I really need to say on the matter

  • I feel like it’s worth mentioning that this post is about being held accountable socially. When it comes to the legal system, there are severe discrepencies that favor women in a lot of different ways. Please don’t think I’m coming from some Manosphere bullshit because this has been studied and reviewed extensively. When you factor in everything, it becomes a lot less clear which gender is “more accountable” in society. I think it makes much more sense to meet in the middle and normalize (in the math way, not the social media way) accountability.

    If you imagine accountability as a table of things you can be held accountable for (rows) vs how accountable each gender is held for them (columns), simply copying the woman column and pasting it over the man column would be significantly reducing men’s accountability for a lot of things. Notably, it would make the legal system about twice as lenient on men for sexual misconduct and obviously nobody wants that. The right thing to do would be to evaluate each row and decide whether it is most just to copy one side to the other or average them.

    Edit: And while we’re at it, do the same process across racial groups, which I would argue is probably a lot more clearly fucked up and unbalanced in one obvious direction

    I really don’t think making this about incels makes sense and I’ll demonstrate why:

    Woman calls me unfuckable -> I’m an incel

    I call a woman unfuckable -> I’m an incel

    There’s little logical consistency around the topic and it’s kind of just become a loophole to cancel morality when it comes to attacking men. I’m really careful with my wording to avoid triggering this response because if I do, people stop processing what I’m saying and they start dogpiling.

    I don’t really think things are actually the way you suppose they are. I think that’s a cultural model that’s been built up by media. It may have been true at one point but from what I can tell based on my experiences in real life, it seems to be more the inverse nowadays. All my male friends seem to be much more choosy with who they sleep with (preferring a real connection) while my female friends seem to be a lot more outgoing and likely to have sex without a connection. I’m talking about a sample size of about 20 people I’ve hung out with in the past year, but I’m also considering people I knew when I was highschool / college age.

    I think you’re not really getting what I’m saying. See my other comment:

    It’s not about that. It’s their choice of insult. Saying “people who voted for Trump are retarded” doesn’t make it not ableist just because you specified it’s about Trump voters. Catch my drift?

    Equating moral corruption to sexual undesirability is just stupid. It implies the inverse too, that sexually undesirable people are morally corrupt, which is actually a pretty huge problem in society. It also implies that men need validation from women which is just false.
