I love tech but don’t work heavily with high-tech (rather not write specifically what field). I don’t like it when tech gets taken over by accountants and sadly it seems inevitable- including Reddit and who knows how Lemmy will be exploited in the future. I hope Lemmy keeps positive vibes where progress, truth and creativity have a safe home.

It’s sadly astounding how many innovative or attractive products are destroyed because greed often believes a) there’s more fat to cut (reduce overhead), b) we have to evolve (forced “innovation/features”) or die, c) both.

There’s certainly more to add but those two alone can easily account for the downfall of so many things in modern history.

When I decide to abandon something, it’s fairly easy. I had more issues getting an account on Lemmy than anything else.
