I could see myself with a heavier device, especcially if its safer from catching on fire. But mass market might disagree. Sodium battery replacments could be a thing for more modifiable devices though.

People are thinking of the firewall here as something external. You can do this without outside help.
Who is this source. Why are they telling me this. How do they know this. What infomation might they be ommiting.
From that point you have enough infomation to make a judgement for yourself what a point of infomation is.
To be clear, im not suggesting unhousing them because they wreak the place. What i am suggesting is giving them a roof to sleep under and some basic facilities. All of which are designed to be prettymuch bulletproof to abuse, so we dont just spend money giving homeless people inhospitible conditions to live in.
One of the sibling comments talked about giving them mental health help as well which i think is a great idea.
Yeah this is the main problem. Might just mean the homes need to be more barebones and strongly constructed(soviet blocks?) so that if they start filling it with furniture its their furniture and they might be less likely to break it.
We can learn to cope while we also learn to fix. The actions are not muturally exclusive.
I don’t have any ideas, but love the post idea. Im moving into a new place soon, ight try do the same.
Had a look and im suprised it doesnt get included. Really if more than 80% of households have to pay for something then it should be included in inflation calculations. That would include electricity, council rates, rent/mortgage and many other necessities that currently only get included by proxy.
This really feels like it should be a thing already so i might do some more research and see if i can find it.
As someone who really likes full cream milk this grossed me out a bit
I wouldnt underestimate how many cummins engines there are, lots of trucks, tractors and other large machines use them, some of which run constantly. If anything i would say they got off lighter than VW
I’ve been doing tags on files in a single folder. Ever note in the same folder. Notes get catagory tags. Doesnt match a catagory? New catagory. Its very simple and doesnt side track me with organisation as much
My local library offers audiobooks through an app that ive been using a bunch and the city library has 3d printers that im going to try use instead of getting my own(for now, I’ll see how much I use it). Go explore your libraries. Theres more to them than books.
Planning on building a small anemometer and open sourcing as much of it as possible. A small bering holding a rotator and a magnet with a reed switch is how im planning on measuring the rotations. Then it will be hard wired from there to a base station with an old raspberry pi that i have and a small display for recent data. Ill need to update the pi if i want wifi so i can stream data to a server constantly but this seems like a good start, upgrades can be made later.
I’ve been a bit curious about this recently, a good start would be collecting some anemometer data at the location that the turbine would be going up, for finer details on how much power will be generated. They can be a bit expensive so i might do a project at some point making a home made one with cheap components and an open source API for extracting data. Then looking into what your build would be. Vertical wind turbines might be good for suburbia (likely what i would build) and horisontal for larger land sizes that could go up on higher poles. I still need to do more research and prep work so take everything Ive said with a grain of salt, but Im looking forward to working on this stuff over the next few months.
Thats everybodys criteria and hes aware of the bad news.
The description seems simple enough. Black metal plate to heat the water then a condensation plate to cool the waterand a few collector tubes. Could one make this at home?
Could be decent if its not the only layer of protection
That was LTT https://youtu.be/wjO6OLmZB9A He admits that its a dumb idea on the wan show later so take that as you will. While i havent read the other comments yet, i bet at least a couple have recommended heatpumps. They are the best solution here.
But if you want to have some fun, grab a large pump and water cool the server, make sure all your water cooling connections can withstand the pressure your giving them and then run the cooling tubes out to your green house.
