It depends as most things. I think ultimately a divorce should make sure things are fair. Unless there was attempts to hide funds or something like that, the wealth acquired throughout the marriage should be split 50/50. A cheating spouse or anything like that is no reason for an uneven split. There should not be any additional financial pressure to stay in a marriage, than losing the advantage of having twice the wealth. (Bigger house etc)

If one party made more money than the other, still 50/50. That’s what is actually fair. A socialist/communist approach. Everyone knows deep in their heart, what is fair. Capitalism and wage differences already sucks, don’t bring it into the marriage and the divorce, especially if kids are involved.

If there is kids involved, then It is also extremely petty to try to cheat your spouse out of a fair deal during divorce. It’s the parent of your children for fucks sake!

Cheating sucks, but is not a reason to retaliate financially.

Edit: Alimony / Spousal support is one of the many ways to make things continue to be fair afterwards. I am positive if children is involved

However, I do believe all people have a certain obligation to participate unless the cost is too severe.

I have a lower cost of participating due to my privileges, so I do. If you consider it probable that you will get significant consequences for activism, then it’s just judgement call only you and your family can make.

I use Private Lock. It uses gyro to detect sudden movements and lock the phone based on that.

Remind people to seek help, when someone is “joking” about ending it all. There is help out there, and it’s worth an attempt, before doing something final and irreversible.

In many countries simply telling your doctor what you are considering will get you help.

If talking to a doctor might be a bad idea due to your profession or other reasons. Then talking with friends or family also might help.

I see many people have asked about monatization. I want to use peertube more, but feel kinda guilty for wasting bandwidth, without contributing. In a perfect world I would just pay 10€ or another amount per month, and that would be distributed based on traffic to both instances and creators.

Thanks for sharing. I saw this video when you initially shared it, and have gradually over the last month become more interested in socialism and communism as a result.

That is what I thought. Interesting idea that I can just optimize for savings instead of engaging in consumer activism, and donate directly to socialist causes or political parties instead.

I still won’t buy Israeli or American products though.

I almost always immediately admit that I am wrong, if I notice it. I do it often.

Why the hell would I insist on being right? It serves no purpose. It also just makes me seem like an unlikable idiot.

People always react positively, and it makes constructive discussions possible. They now know that I am a reasonable rational person. They also know that I have good intentions. This makes it possible for me to convince them in the future as well. Everybody benefits.
