We contrast this with something like 50 Shades of Grey which is lower rotten tomatoes and lower IMDB but pulled in about a half billion because they marketed the hell out of it.

I suggest you look at the bestsellers list on any online bookstore, it’s 50% smut.
50 shades did well because horny women are an underappreciated demographic.
