I think they are just trolls. Hexbear has a community called “The Dunk Tank” where they proudly announce when they successfully “dunked” on someone, also known as arguing in bad faith with prejudicial hostility and no will to listen until the other side gives up and leaves. They mark that as a win in their book and applaud to it.
They are definitely not trolls, they are just viewing everything through the lens of capitalism-bad, communism-good. Their opinions are formed by a different understanding of world events and history, which they would say is more accurate and complete, but which the US/Europe calls disinformation. We are on opposite sides of disinformation campaigns than each other which is why it seems like trolling.
