Even if by literally you really mean figuratively, that’s still a hyperbolic thing to say[1]. Trump is as American as apple pie and oligarchy[1][2].
Agent means paid employ. It’s not a stretch for Trump; Russia and SA alone kinda seal the deal.
Keep in mind Biden and Trump fit this with Israel kickbacks. Every sitting politician that has accepted funds from AIPAC is currently a foreign agent.
Israel is a client state of the US, not the other way around. The tail is not wagging the dog. The US funds Israel, and then Israel uses some of that money to
bribelobby US politicians. But US politicians were going to pursue imperialism in Western Asia regardless, because, Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.
