          Not even that. In an oligarchy, a country is ruled by large business interests, overtly or covertly. Russia is run by Vladimir Putin, who is not a businessman (but a former intelligence officer) and killed a bunch of so called oligarchs when he took power. USA might be much closer to a real oligarchy than Russia is.

        Wait do they really?!

        (No doubt that Russia post USSR is capitalist af. In fact, the corrupt privatization post the fall of the USSR seems to be an influence on what the republicans want to do once they come into power in the US, sell off our prized national possessions like the NOAA and NASA to the highest aka most corrupt bidder)
