I did not read Subaru as having an affinity for dragon blood, so much as just having been infected less, but you might be onto something. Maybe its part of his rare affinity for dark magic, or maybe its related to his connection to the witch of envy.
I wonder if seeing what Lust can do is a little window into what Subaru will be able to do with the infection. Even if to a lesser effect.
