Well hopefully your partner is a good teacher! and can pass on their wisdom. Or maybe can do one of those romcom scenes with the hands on yours guiding hug.
Still, no substitute for just messing around when it comes to any craft. As long as you enjoy the process there’s not really any disadvantage to taking longer to get the knack of something, unless you’re trying to make a living of it.
