I’ve encountered some Italian teen “marxists” trying to paint Jesus as this great socialist figure, even saying that they’re “Jesusist” and that being against Christianity is reactionary.
Weirdest one for me was one dude saying you can’t be marxist without being religious and other one saying that religion is materialist.
So standard religious pretzling. Sad to see.
I wouldnt write off that idea as being a ‘teen’ idea, its a common thread in Italian communism, and liberation theology/communist christianty that Jesus was a revolutionary figure.

Those particular people were teens, though it’s nice to know where they might be getting it from
