Zizek is based as fuck, even if you don’t agree with everything he says his books are really good
Basically his only major pockmark is his accelerationist stance in 2016, a stance he has functionally rolled back. Otherwise, he is among the most prominent voices extending Marxist ideology to a postmodern framework, while rejecting the simplistic cold war ideas of Communism vs Imperialism which absorbs so much oxygen in many leftist spaces.
