The only questions I am left with are: why did it take so long, and why haven’t more countries invoked the Conventions? As the article points out “States have an obligation to prevent genocide, not merely to punish it after it has occurred.”

There’s an elephant in the room that everyone doesn’t want to offend. It might force unannounced sanctions on you because you’re speaking out against a country they’re supplying arms. And they’ll not just sanction you themselves, they’ll make it so that they will sanction anyone that does business with you.

      This causes irreversible financial harm.

It’s gonna lead to nothing but it’s good that they keep dunking on israel and America on the international stage. The west is completely demolishing their human rights reputation in two months. China is starting to look good compared to America.

I think they’re kidnapping Uyghur children but not yet bombarding children’s hospitals.

Didn’t think I’d have to think about what’s more evil than China before, but after doing it that award definitely goes to israel for going full on Nazi mode

The conspiratorial part of me believes that this was somehow orchestrated by Russia to create division and to emphasise the hypocrisy of the west.

I’m not too clear on the details. .

Russia cannot force israel to be literal Nazi’s. They cannot force Genocide Joe to send bombs and remove al genocide restrictions, put three aircraft carriers behind them and intentionally make it so israel can commit their Genodie unhindered.

The best conspiracy we have is Netanyahu selling the 500billion Gaza’s Marine gas field in June this year without owning it. And him encouraging 7oct to happen (and possibly aiding it) to then “retaliate” (genocide) all of Gaza an steal the land and their gas field.

That said it is possible that the IDF are legit insanely incapable morons and failed to prevent 7oct especially seeing how sloppy the IDF propaganda is this time around.
