For reference, here’s a few incomplete lists:
- https://www.linuxfoundation.org/blog/open-source-symbolism-exploring-the-stories-behind-linux-foundation-project-mascots-and-logos
- https://online.supertuxkart.net/addons.php?type=karts
A few that I don’t see in the lists are:
- llvm dragon: https://llvm.org/Logo.html
- buildah pug: https://buildah.io/
- podman seal: https://podman.io/
- openSUSE gecko: https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Artwork_brand#Logo
- Konqi and Xenia for sure.
- Kiki, Konqi and Tux - Kiki is Krita’s mascot, Konqi is KDE’s, the last one (Linux) is also in my favorite list because penguin
- Maybe not a furry, but the kinda official godot mascot. Godette, is pretty cute imo
- Konqi and Xenia, same as everyone else said, but the LLVM dragon also looks rad asf
- I like the Lutris otter’s design a lot. Not sure if Mullvad counts as traditional open source but its little mole is cute too. - This may sound silly, but do you have any idea if Magic the Gathering’s elemental otter is inspired by Lutris? It seems like too convenient of a name.

- I’ve always loved Konqi and the other kde dragons. I think the deigns are really cute. I also the like sudo sandwich because of how wacky it is.
- Not official, but who cares, Xenia is the best!
