With Lemmy being like half Russian bots, I think this won’t go amiss.

#The Russian state and government interfered in the 2024 United States elections through disinformation and propaganda campaigns[1] aimed at damaging Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and other Democrats while boosting the candidacy of Donald Trump and other candidates who support isolationism and undercutting support for Ukraine aid and NATO.[2][3][4][5][6]

I don’t think there’s many propaganda bots on lemmy since it’s not big enough and there’s corporations with much bigger and dumber audiences

Oh yes, the old “I don’t think there’s Russians pn Lemmy”.

Anyone who genuinely thinks that is either severely cognitively limited or a lying Russian. Usually it’s the latter.

I could list a dozen off the top of my head. Start with [email protected]. He insists he’s a red-blooded American who happens to not know anything about the US, who happens to know fluent Russian and who happens to favour political positions which are all in line with Russia.

“Lemmy isn’t big enough for” genuinely only a true moron would think that, or you’re another disgusting lying Ruski. Russia is utterly shit at everything except spycraft and propaganda. I’ve met Vladimirs and Ivans on small national servers on Discord/Teamspeak etc. A guy who claimed he was Irish born and raised couldn’t speak English without an extremely strong Russian accent and didn’t know what a limerick is. Let alone what Limerick is.

So, you’d believe a guy called Ivan Ivanovich being 100% born and raised American with no Russian connections, as long as he said it on something that isn’t Facebook? No, FB isn’t even popular now. Xitter? Reddit? YouTube?

Because Russians would just never ever put propagandists to use less moderated services that they could spam their bullshit into without worry?

#So… are you spreading Russian propaganda on purpose, or are you just too dumb to realise you’re doing it?
