When I see that graphic, I can instantly and vividly taste the not-quite-cold water in a tiny cup from the water cooler at the doctor’s office.

I think it’s the bit of wax flavor those cups used to have.

A local frozen custard shop used them and another generic design until they got successful enough to buy cups with their own logo

I’m not sure I could really taste the difference between frozen custard and ice cream

Frozen custard is also often sold as a “concrete”. The difference from ice cream is less in the flavor and moreso in the texture. Concretes hold up better to summer heat. Its more dense than typical ice cream.

A dairy queen blizzard is probably also a frozen custard, not typical ice cream, as they had the whole “it wont fall out if you flip it upside down” thing just like they do at some frozen custard places

I have a very vivid memory of being at a pool with a diving board and having cups of water with this logo on. I don’t remember where it was or anything really about the place but I do remember that the pool water was very very hot, and the water fountain water was very very very cold.

It was a very 90s place I’m assuming it can’t possibly exist anymore.
