USA and China are standing opposed to each other. USA says “Fuck off commie”. China says “Fuck off yankee”. Pol Pot enters the scene, both look at him. Pol Pot says: “Yo, help me with this genocide thingy please”. USA and China put their hands on Pol Pots shoulder and say “Of course Pol Pot”.
Explanation:
Pol Pot was the dictator of Cambodia. Under his rule he an his party, the Khmer Rouge, commited the Cambodian genocide. Both China and the USA supported the Khmer Rogue, though China did it more openly. The Soviet Union opposed the Khmer Rogue goverment as it was an attempt of China to stop the spread of Soviet influence in South Asia.
They agreed on TWO things. The US and China both supported Pol Pot because they both hated Vietnam, and Pol Pot was going after Vietnamese people in Cambodia, and at least played with the idea of taking Vietnam on in a war.
That guy looks like Elon

😳 thanks for doing the mash-up, seems they are pretty similar…!
Just stolen from somewhere
“WAOW GENOCIDE IN CAMBODIA” - the two great powers most hostile to Vietnam
Vietnam, just coming out of two wars against them and now seeing them assist trouble in a neighboring country: 🫤
The podcast Strangeland (true crime focused on Asian communities in the United States) covered the murder of Haing Nor who starred in The Killing Fields. There are people who assert his death was a political assassination.
To keep podcasts in a single comment thread, Behind the Bastards covered Pol Pot last year: https://www.iheart.com/podcast/105-behind-the-bastards-29236323/episode/part-one-the-pol-pot-episodes-273675171/
And Blowback season 5 is all about the Cambodian genocide and goes into the US and Chinese involvement at length: https://blowback.show/Season-5
Shout-out to Blowback, every season is incredibly well researched and engaging
