What do people think about Root chat and Digg? 🤔, just curious

You could just use stoat.chat (formerly known as Revolt) instead of Root, especially with Stoat being FOSS and Root seemingly being proprietary.

Checked Digg like the day after it released, and it felt like a discount Facebook in UI, and a discount Reddit in UX. Also no RSS or other forms of following externally, which is a no go for me.

The other one, I’m not familiar with.

Digg is just a shallow VC play that acquired the name and brand I think. No actual relation to OG Digg AFAIK. At launch they had only closed Android and iOS apps, no web.

OP: What makes you interested in thes and what’s your own take? BTW please try to put a more descriptive title for future posts!

While you’re not wrong that it’s a ‘shallow VC play’, Kevin Rose actually re-bought the brand with partner and Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian!
