    NNNOO!!! Denmark is my favorite country, I would move there in a sec., if their immigration laws would take me. You cannot count snow against Denmark, they no control of that. Why would the sidewalks be a mess? In a Democratic Socialist Scandinavian country? I never of any bicycle lanes at any location directly costing riders money, taxes pay for them.

      I’m not holding snow against them, but their pedestrian infrastructure.
      It’s great for bikes, no doubt, but sidewalks are ridiculously narrow, are not cleared from snow, and in some areas don’t even exist, so you have to walk on the bike path.
      Don’t get me wrong, it’s very possible to get around on foot, but walking longer distances does not seem to be part of the city planning.
      If the bike paths would be equally terrible, I wouldn’t even complain, but streets and bike paths are both well maintained.
