There is no alternative to capitalism (which has only really been the dominant economic model for a few hundred years at most) and if you dare suggest alternatives I’ll just dismiss them out of hand using propaganda I have burned into my skull and act like it refutes every argument you could possibly make.

    • You

How’s capitalism working out for the US right now, btw? Guess it depends who you ask, and if you ask the billionaires it’s doing great. Yay!

Leave it up to a typical lemmy user to entirely misrepresent someone’s point, only so that they can tear it down and feel superior.

I said nothing even close to what you are falsely suggesting that I did- and I’d bet you anything I possess that you couldn’t even find an actual pro-capitalism stance in ANY of my interactions there on lemmy.

I swear, if straw man arguments weren’t allowed here, none of you would have anything to say.

I simply said that communism and socialism are also flawed, therefore there’s not a lot of motivation to change it. Also, many of you seem to not understand the absolute HELL that comes with swapping out a system of government and socio-economic ideology.

This shit was taught in high school.

      • Take note how I managed to make an entire comment within putting foolish words in your mouth so I could have something to say.

      Now YOU try it.

If you want an alternative, try Market Socialism. All the benefits of a market economy without the capitalist exploitation. Equating socialism with Soviet style command economies is a smooth-brained take.
