    This is like hazing in college, military or anywhere else: it only takes one to refuse and the tradition ends.

    In my country, originally, hazing was done to graduates, about to leave for their professional lives, not to the new students.

    In medical school, the hazing meant having beards and long hair cut with scissors and getting hands and fingers slapped with a wooden spoons, to “thoughen” the hands of the worker.
