Things have gotten so bad in America that they no longer view voting and protesting as a viable way to achieve change in the system. As a result, more and more of them are calling for a revolution—and not all of them think peace is an option. In this video, we’ll discuss how declining material conditions, the collapse of the state, and rise of fascist authoritarianism has led to a conversation about the need to rise up and overthrow the system.

DNC have not had more than 48 senate seats in 13 years. When they did have 58 senators in 2010, for less than 2 months of congress in session, they caucused with 2 independents to have supermajority to pass the Affordable Care Act which gave free healthcare to over 50 Million americans and made healthcare more affordable to a comparable number of people, they would have passed that Public Option healthcare plan if not for Independent Senator Joe Leiberman refusing.
They also banned PACs in 2003, something they were attempting since 1995, and it lasted until 2007-2010 at which point the SCOTUS deemed it unconstitutional in the Citizens United ruling.
As far as banning discriminattion, protecting the environment, antimonopoly enforcement, and taxing the rich: there are examples of all of those things from every single DNC presidency and congress.
I agree, they support shitty candidates way too much. Hence, their consistent minority. Remember when they chose that same Joe Leiberman as the VP candidate? Big brain time. I see that question all the time “what can they do?” Well, if they can’t do shit, get out. Let someone else try. Support a ban on Congressional insider trading. I still say, Dems over the Magats is an easy choice. Why can’t we have a choice between left and right, not right and nutter-right? The DNC platform of today is about what the GOP platform was in the 50s. That’s not OK.
Voters choose candidates in Primary Elections.
If you think taxing the rich is right wing, then maybe it’s you standing in our way rather than vice versa.
Holy shit. And there goes the strawman. I said nothing of the sort and have decided to just block you. It is like talking to a kitchen table.
