I wonder what the numbers are on starvation vs war/policing/prison deaths/etc.
I doubt we could ever get a full figure, but a quick google says 9 million die from starvation yearly and around 15,000 from police.
There’s probably a lot of overlap between starvation and other poverty deaths too, i.e. how many people die from illness that their body is too starved to fight off.
I’m pretty sure starvation is on top by a wide margin, but lots of starvation is caused by war or policies.
Yeah. For example, would the purposeful starvation in Gaza be considered a direct form of violence? I think yes, personally.
Of course, Zionists deliberately withheld, stole, and bombed any aid going towards Gaza that is 100% intentional.
