No, I don’t think so.
In 1875 the future and its technological advancements was a great promise.
It was the time of the great World Fairs, think Crystal Palace and Eiffel Tower.
Seeing a high wheeler would have been a totally new and positively exciting thing. In 2026, a Cybertruck is a symbol for general degeneration and the worst possible use of decades old concepts and technologies.
Additionally, I truly believe high wheeler were more successful than Cybertrucks
Cybertrucks aren’t innovative, AFAIK. This is highly innovative.
New things, yes.
But this design is elegant and beautiful, unlike the hideous Cybertruck.
Aesthetic experience is naturally subjective, but I’m willing to bet that a vast majority of the global population would agree on this one.
That bicycle also was actual progress, unlike the Swasticar, which is just a pile of junk basically incapable of functioning as a road vehicle, let alone off road, sold for a massively inflated price.
1875? Bro I saw one of those in 2023, just casually out on the bikeways - it was a hell of a thing to witness, definitely felt cooler than seeing a Cybertruck 😂
You should watch a pennyfarthing race sometime. The crashes are intense.
It induced rage and anti-nazi sentiment?
Nope. Even in 1875, if you rode one of these things, people would think you’re a douchebag.
These were never cool.
Doesn’t that prove OP right?
Hmmm…
That is incorrect. It may have been considered dangerous to ride those, but reaching high speeds (the larger the wheel, the faster you could go) was cool.
When was the cybertruck ever cool? The last time I remember ever feeling remotely positively about the cybertruck was when Elon threw a titanium ball into its window to show that it was bulletproof. For a little while after that seeing a cybertruck would remind me of that and I’d laugh at the driver. Now I just flip them off, brake-check them, flash them with my brights if we are at night, etc
Just like the Cybertruck
Was it invented by a Nazi or something??
