You… do realize how the nation of Israel got the land that they’re on, right?

You do realize what they’re currently doing to Palestinians in the West Bank who have lived on that land for generations… right?

Yeah and I’m aware of how the British got the land that I live on too.

But I didn’t do those things, I was born after those things happened. People don’t choose where they were born. What the hell is anyone supposed to do about what happened in a history book? I’m supposed to move to Europe (a place I’ve never been) because you believe people should only live in certain places based on ethnicity?

The whole blood and soil concept you’re laying down is the reason why Jews had to leave Europe and go live where they originated from.

Dude, chill out, I never said Israelis need to leave Israel. And I’m not laying down a blood and soil concept. Those are about as strawman as one can get.

You were on your soap box about how ethnic cleansings are bad (you’re right, they are bad), while conveniently ignoring the fact that the nation of Israel is currently engaging in the act of ethnic cleansing. That’s all I pointed out.

The original post is criticizing two power hungry dictators for wanting to annex land that doesn’t belong to them. If you don’t care about what happened in the history books, then what’s it matter who lived on the land 2000 years ago?

The only ones making a blood and soil argument here is the people saying “Well our ancestors lived here during the time of the roman empire.”
