cool acronym have you tried conducting your research anywhere besides urban dictionary? needlessly perpetuating the casual use of a term of evidently racist origin is an affront to the collaborative spirit of free software that allows us to behold such beautiful configurations and customizations

I don’t think the other commenters “sources” are relevant hence the reason I haven’t responded them no ricing doesn’t come from the racist phrase “rice burner” to describe a car, what are you talking about

Oh, you think the sources aren’t relevant? Yeah, I’m sure, that’s how a reasonable, unbiased discussion should work. Just think other sources don’t matter and the argument based on them just magically gets dismissed. Wow.

You’re a moron or intentionally sticking your head in the sand if you really believe this. What you’re clinging to is a backronym, not original or common usage. The term “rice” or “ricer” comes from racist old American car guys who hated that Japanese cars were becoming so popular in the 70s/80s/90s, so they called them “rice burners” as a dig at their Asian roots, to compare them to a kitchen appliance to make them seem weak, and to imply poor reliability and power compared to their beloved muscle cars. It’s racist terminology through and through and always screamed of a fragile, bruised ego

But that’s where you’re wrong. And the sources provided prove that.

You started a discussion. If you don’t want to discuss, don’t post a comment arguing a point.
