Yeah genocide is not about the actual harm you do in the real world, it’s about the harm you would have wanted to do if you could. According to this commenter’s speculation of how much you would have wanted it.

What a great definition. Are you fucking stoned or something?

Many more people were killed in the Vietnam war. Many more people starved in the Vietnam war. So many more people.

      Was the Vietnam war genocide?

Is Russia’s war against Ukraine a genocide?

Was the Iraq War a genocide?

If you define it by the number of casualties, you’ll find most wars would have to be labelled genocide since the Israel-Hamas war had fewer casualties than many many other conflicts.

I pointed out the numbers to show the hypocrisy, you’re right, if hamas had the means they would kill as many Israelis as they could, any oppressed would do the same to their oppressors, but if you look at the other side, the people with the means to do it IS ACTUALLY DOING IT. So by your logic, thinking of doing major harm as some admittedly fucked up form of retribution, is the same as, or maybe even worse than actually doing said harm for no reason other than for materialistic gains, which the IDF is doing
